PICSRules File
A PICSRules file is a text file that uses PICS rules to define what sites can be viewed by a browser.
PICSRules allow you to create profiles or filtering rules.
A profile can allow or block access to URLs
(web sites or individual web pages) based on the PICS labels that have been applied to the web content.
PICSRules files have an extension of .prf (profile).
The ICRAplus filter offers the following functions:
- It reads ICRA labels.
- User's can setup block and allow lists.
- Templates - sets of rules for what to block or allow based on ICRA labels.
- Block various online services including chat and e-mail.
- Multiple profiles - you can set different rules for different users.
- Supports third party filtering rules, block and allow lists.
- The ICRAplus filtering platform is free.
